Care for the whole companion, and for you

Shanti and Me brings together grooming, movement in nature, and sound so your dog feels safe and regulated, and so you feel it too. Everything I offer honors the animal in front of me and the person beside them.

Shanti's Pack

Hikes that settle the nervous system

Monday through Thursday, I gather a small, carefully matched pack and head into the foothills for structured off-leash adventures, river outings, and gentle impulse work. Dogs come home tired, balanced, and more themselves.

  • Small, curated packs of well-matched dogs
  • River outings, enrichment, and calm impulse work
  • For dogs with outdoor experience and steady manners

The philosophy

Small acts of stewardship, repeated daily

Stewardship is not a grand gesture. It is the quiet, consistent practice of caring for another being well, reading their signals, protecting their calm, and meeting them where they are.

Every service I offer is built on that idea. Whether it is a groom, a hike, or a sound bath, the goal is the same: a regulated nervous system, a deeper bond, and an animal who feels genuinely safe with the people who love them.

Community

Gather with the pack

Beyond one-on-one work, I host gatherings throughout the year: pack meetups, rattlesnake diversion training, spirit circles, and seasonal events that bring stewards and their dogs together in nature.

Good to know

Questions I hear often

Do you work with anxious or sensitive dogs?
Yes. My approach is patient and intuitive, especially for dogs who find grooming, new people, or busy environments overwhelming. I move at their pace and build safety first.
What makes Shanti and Me different from a typical groomer or dog walker?
Everything is nature-informed and centered on nervous system regulation. Rather than rushing through a service, I tend to the whole companion animal and the bond they share with their steward.
How do the pack hikes work?
Dogs are matched into small, compatible groups and taken to trusted east-side trails and river spots, Monday through Thursday. I keep groups intentionally small so every dog is seen.
What areas do you serve?
I serve Millcreek and the surrounding east-side communities, including Holladay, Cottonwood Heights, Salt Lake City, Murray, Sandy, and Draper.
Can we meet before booking?
Of course. A quick call or meet-and-greet helps both you and your dog feel comfortable before your first session.

Ready to tend the bond?
