Terms & Waivers

These terms summarize the agreements that apply to services from Shanti and Me LLC. Grooming, pet sitting, and sound baths each use a signed agreement, provided before your first service. The summaries below reflect those agreements in plain language.

Text messaging consent

By providing your phone number you agree to receive appointment, reminder, and follow-up text messages. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Opt-in information is never shared with third parties.

Grooming agreement

  • I have permission to do what is appropriate for the wellbeing of your dog during grooming.
  • If veterinary care is warranted, you agree to associated costs, and I may use a veterinarian of my choice if yours is not reachable. I am not responsible for conditions discovered during grooming.
  • I am not responsible for clipper irritation, minor nicks, or stress effects on senior dogs, including where pre-existing conditions are present.
  • Matting is unpredictable. Time and cost of de-matting depend on your dog's coat, and humane handling always comes first.
  • I may refuse, pause, or use gentle restraint such as a soft muzzle if a dog is unsafe to handle. Grooming may stop mid-session for the safety of your dog or me, with a minimum charge applying.
  • Please disclose any history of biting or aggression in advance. You are responsible for harm or damage caused by your dog.
  • Missed or canceled appointments made less than 12 hours ahead may incur a fee, generally $5 on weekdays and $10 on Saturdays. Emergencies are considered individually.
  • Proof of a current rabies vaccination is required.

Pet sitting agreement

  • A signed service request is required before any sitting period, and payment in full is due at reservation to hold your dates.
  • Cancellation schedule: within 0 to 48 hours of service or on holidays, payment in full is charged. From 2 to 7 days prior, 20 percent is due, an 80 percent refund. Eight or more days prior, a full refund applies.
  • Shanti and Me remains insured through PSA or a comparable provider.
  • I am authorized to seek emergency veterinary care during visits, at your cost, if needed.
  • You are responsible for securing your home and for supplying safe, well-fit equipment such as a harness, leash, and current vaccination tags.
  • You agree to pet-proof your home and yard. I am not responsible for pets with unsupervised access to the outdoors.
  • Please discuss any concerns within 24 hours of your return. This agreement replaces any prior versions and applies to all pets in your care.

Sound baths and retreats

Sound baths, Eco-Somatic retreats, and group events use a participation waiver acknowledging that these are wellness experiences and not medical treatment. Please share relevant health considerations for you and your companion animal in advance so I can hold a safe space.
